Notice to enable China visa online processing

Dear applicants:

In order to further improve the efficiency of visa applications and optimize the service process, our visa center will cooperate with the China Embassy in Ghana to launch the online checking mode of visa. From April 3, all applicants (excluding visa applicants to Hong Kong, China and Macao, China) must first fill in the application form and submit the materials online. After the online checking is passed, they can go to the visa center to submit the materials (diplomatic, official and other visa applicants are still required to go to the corresponding embassy or consulate to submit).

To ensure the smooth upgrade of the system, the visa center plans to upgrade the system on April 3, 3:00PM. After the upgrade, all forms filled in on the existing website will no longer be usable. Therefore, applicants who have filled in the forms on the existing website should submit the materials to the visa center before April 3, 3:00PM.

In addition, during the system upgrade period (from 3:00PM on April 3 to 1:00AM on April 4), it is recommended to suspend filling in the form to avoid information loss.

After upgrading to the online review mode of visa APP, the visa application process is as follows:

(I) Prepare visa application materials

Visa application materials include basic materials and other supporting materials.

(II) Fill in the Visa Application Form online and upload application materials

Please log in to the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Visa Application Center") www.visaforchina.cn, find the corresponding Visa Application Center, register and log in. Fill in the Visa Application Form online according to the prompts, upload the application materials and submit, and wait for the preliminary review. All applicants (excluding visa applicants to Hong Kong, China and Macao, China) must use this website to fill in the application form online and upload the application materials.

Special reminder:

After submitting the application, the embassy or the visa application center may give feedback at any time that you need to provide further materials. Please go to "Application Progress Inquiry" to keep abreast of the application progress. When the application status is "Waiting for Passport Submission", print the first and last pages of the Visa Application Form and sign.

(III) Submit visa application materials and pay fees at the Visa Application Center

1. If the application status is "Waiting for Passport Submission" and the confirmation email has been received, the applicant can bring the printed "Visa Application Voucher" to the Visa Application Center between 9:00 and 15:00 on working days to submit the visa application materials.

2. Submit the following materials to the visa application center:

(1) Original passport;

(2) Visa application form with signature on the first and last page;

(3) One photo (within 6 months, bareheaded, color, small 2-inch 48mm×33mm);

(4) Other supporting materials required.

3. Applicants must go to the visa application center to collect fingerprints of all ten fingers. The following visa applicants are exempt from fingerprint collection:

① People under 14 years old or over 70 years old;

② People with mutilated fingers or unable to leave fingerprints on all ten fingers;

③ Before December 31, 2025 (inclusive), the applicants for single or double entry short terms visa (under 180 days) is exempt from fingerprint collection.

The Embassy solemnly reminds that applicants must go in person to collect fingerprints. If it is found that someone else is impersonating the applicant to collect fingerprints, the person will be denied entry into China and will bear the corresponding consequences.

4. All fees must be paid when submitting application materials, including visa fees and visa service fees.

(IV) Collection of documents

Applicants should collect their documents at the visa application center at the corresponding collection time with the collection form issued when submitting the application.
