Notice for Legalization at the China Visa Application Centre in Luanda from April 14 ,2022
As of April 14, 2022, the consular legalization applications of non-Chinese nationals residing in the consular district of the Chinese Embassy in Angola should be submitted to the China Visa Application Center in Luanda (hereinafter referred as 'Visa Application Center’). Consular legalization applications filed by Chinese nationals can be submitted either directly to the Chinese Embassy in Angola, or to the Visa Application Center which charges a service fee in addition to the legalization fee. The details are as follows:
1.Office hours
Every Thursday excluding public holidays.
Application submission and payment: 8:00 – 15:00
Collection: 8:00 – 15:00
2.Processing time (in the case that all the required documents are provided)
Regular service: The processing time is usually 4 working days
Express II service: The processing time is usually 3 working days
Postal delivery service: The processing time is usually 10 working days
* The consular officer reserves the right to require the applicant to provide additional supporting documents, or to have an interview at the Embassy. The processing time may consequently be longer.
*If the applicant requests the visa application center to return the materials after processed by the Embassy via postal service, the processing time is about 10 working days.
3. Fees
In addition to the legalization fee collected on behalf of the Chinese Embassy, the Visa Application Center will also charge a service fee. Please click here for Schedule of fees.
4. Important notice
4.1 Consular legalization applications filed by Chinese nationals residing in the consular district of the Chinese Embassy in Angola can still be submitted directly to the Chinese Embassy. Please call the embassy at 00244-222448188/00244-948455298 or connect through WeChat (WeChat ID: 00244948455298) to make an appointment. Application could also be submitted at the Visa Application Center, which will charge service fee in addition to Legalization fee.
4.2 Click here for the link of legalization application form. The embassy recommends that the application form be filled and printed. If the application form is filled manually, the font must be clear and neat. Scanned copies are not accepted. The legalization application forms must be signed by the applicant in person at the Signature of applicant. If the applicant entrusts an agent to submit the application on his/her behalf, the applicant and the agent need to sign respectively at the Signature of applicant and at the Signature of agent.
4.3 The embassy has no mandatory requirements for appointment of legalization application. The applicant can visit Visa Application Center’s website or send an email to the Visa Application Center to make an appointment for submission, or directly go to the center to submit the legalization application.
4.4 The Visa Application Center is only responsible for the handling of application submissions. The Chinese Embassy in Angola oversees the process of decision-making.
