If you hold an ordinary passport, you should submit your application at the Visa Center in the country where you lawfully reside. Holders of diplomatic and service (official) passports or applicants eligible to apply for China's diplomatic, courtesy and service visas, should still apply directly to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General.

Manila Visa Center accepts visa applications from the Philippines citizens or citizens of other countries staying in the Philippines with appropriate legal status.

Temporary visitors to the Philippines should apply for Chinese visas from the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in the countries in which they live, unless the applicant can provide proof of employment/study or other occupational status and the visa officer will make the final decision on a case-by-case basis.
