STEP 1: Online Submission

1. Preparing Documents as Required: The documents include passport, photo, application form and and required supporting documents.

Kindly reminder you that choose the correct location on the website www.visaforchina.cn where the application shall be submitted.  

This page is for those who are going to apply for a Chinese visa in Singapore. 

2. Create an account and log in to start to fill in the Application Form, and Upload the visa application documents.

3. Complete Online Visa Application Form, and Upload the visa application documents.

4. Click Submit button. (Please click Submit button on the PAY page. Online payment is not available now, and please pay when making submission at Visa Centre after your application has been approved online.)

5. Wait for the preliminary check and online approval. (Only after approved online, should the application be submitted at the Visa Centre.)

All applicants (excluding those applying for visas to Hong Kong SAR of China and Macao SAR of China)are required to complete the online application form, upload all necessary documents online, and confirm your application. Wait for the preliminary check.

Please note:

- After submitting your application form online you might receive a message from either the Chinese Embassy or the Visa Center stating you have to send additional documents. Inquire online in time about your current application status via "Status". If the application status shows “Approved” print the Application Form and sign on the last page.

- After submitting your application form online you might be required to receive  an interview, if required, please go to the Embassy upon notification.

STEP 2: Visa Submission and make payment for your visa application at the Visa Center.

1.  Check the assessing result of your application: If the status showing"Approved", and you have received a confirmation email, then you can submit documents with the printed Conformation at the Visa application center on working day between 9:00am-15:00pm without appointment.

2.   When submitting documents at the visa application center, please bring the following documents.

 (1)   Original passport

 (2)  A photo if the uploaded one is indicated as unqualified.

 (3)   The first and last pages of the Application Form，and sign on the last page.

 (4)   Original certificate of kinship or house ownership, if have been required to be uploaded.

 (5)   Printed documents with barcode, if have been required to be uploaded.

（6）If you apply for a two-year multiple visa, please bring printed application form with all pages and all application documents.

3.   All applicants holding ordinary passports will be requested to have their fingerprints collected. The following applicants can be exempted from fingerprints collection:

(1)   Applicants under the age of 14 or over 70; 

(2)   Diplomatic passport holders, or applicants eligible for diplomatic, official and courtesy visas; 

(3) Applicants who already had their fingerprints collected within the past five years at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Singapore with the same passport;

(4)   Applicants who suffer from 10 fingers mutilation or whose fingerprints cannot be collected;

(5)   From September 2, 2024 to December 31, 2025, applicants for short term visas (staying for less than 180 days) for one or two entries  will be exempted from fingerprints collection.

The Chinese Embassy kindly request that applicants shall have their fingerprints collected in person. Those forge fingerprints or use other people's fingerprints will be denied entry into China and bear all the consequences incurred.

4.   Applicants shall pay the visa fee and service fee with cash or by Paynow. 

STEP 3: Collection

From the day you submit the application at the Visa Centre:

Collection is on the 4^th working day for regular service.

Collection is on the 3^rd  working day for express service.

Please make collection during the opening hours at the Visa Centre with the original pick-up form.

Submission and payment of applications: 9:00 to 15:00.

Collection: 9:00 to 16:00
