Notification Updates Regarding New Online Application Form and Online-Appointment-System

Starting from 10th April 2019 the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Wien (hereinafter referred to as 'Visa Application Center') will use a new version of the Chinese visa application form and will implement an appointment system.
If you choose to submit your application in the visa Center in Wien, please read the steps illustrated below carefully:
1. Navigate to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center’s website, and select Austria, in order to be directed to the Vienna Center’s homepage.
2. Read the specific ‘Step by Step Guidance’ section’s information regarding your particular purpose of visit and your visa requirements.
3. Enter the ‘Quick Access’ section from the homepage and then select ‘Online Application Form’ to fill in your application form online. The online application form will require you to upload a recent standard photograph (please check here for photograph requirements). If the online form indicates that the photo is not qualified and cannot be uploaded successfully, please be sure to bring an appropriate photograph to the center when you come to submit your application.
4. After filling in the application form, please print out the complete form, sign on the confirmation page and on the 8th page of the application form.
5. Enter the ‘Online Appointment’ section, fill in the application form number which is automatically generated and it starts with ‘VIE’ (If you wish to bring more than one application with your appointment, you must ensure you enter all application form numbers for all applications under the appointment number. One appointment can be booked for up to ten applications). Choose a time slot and finish the appointment booking. The system will automatically send you a confirmation email. Please print the confirmation email or make a screenshot of the appointment time information and show your appointment while you arrive at Wien Visa Center.
Please note:
1.The Online application form is currently only available in Chinese and English.
2. From 10thApril to 9thMay 2019 the Visa Center will still accept the old version of the application form (four sites). You don’t need to make an appointment if you submit your application with the old version of the application form.
3. From the 10th May 2019 the Visa Application Centers will only accept an online application form with an appointment booking. The old version of the application form will not be accepted. Except for emergency cases.
an online appointment must be booked before you come to the Chinese Visa Application Center to submit your application.
4. You should fill in this form truthfully,completelyand clearly. Please note that if you provide false, fraudulent or misleading information or documentation, your application will be refused.
5.Visa Application Centers cannot acceptservice, diplomatic and courtesy visa applications.Service, diplomatic and courtesy visa applicants can still fill in an online application form on our website, print out and sign. And you will be guided to the respective Chinese Embassy or Consulate General to submit application material.
