In recent years, the demand for Chinese visas has steadily increased. In order to ensure high quality visa processing service for applicants, Chinese Embassies and Consulates have taken note of the practice of other countries, and introduced the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (hereinafter referred to as the 'Visa Application Center'). The Visa Application Center is primarily responsible for receiving visa applications of ordinary passport holders, collecting visa fees, and release the visa on behalf of the embassies.
The services provided by the Visa Application Center are:
• Operating the visa application website, and publishing information relevant to the Chinese Visa
• Providing relevant information through telephone, email, etc.
• Online visa application form filling
• Online visa application appointment
• Longer reception hours and queueing number system on site
• Receiving fee payment by cash, debit card
Applicants can enjoy the following conveniences:
• Preliminary preparation for the Chinese visa application online before visiting the Visa Application Center
• Shorter queueing time on site
• Diversified payment methods, such as cash, debit card (personal card only).
• Prompt answers by telephone calls and responses to emails allow applicants to enjoy personalized services
• A more comfortable environment for visa applicants.
The Visa Application Centre is established under the specific laws and regulations of the country where it is registered. It is strictly bound to follow these laws and will take various measures to protect the personal information and documents of applicants. In order to ensure reliable and smooth operation of the Visa Application Center, a service fee will be charged at published prices, in addition to the visa fee collected by the Chinese Embassy in Romania.
After the opening of the Visa Application Center, holders of diplomatic or service passports, or those applying for diplomatic, courtesy, service visas are still required to apply directly at the Consular office of the Chinese Embassy in Romania as usual.
The Visa Application Center is not involved in the Chinese visa approval process. The Embassy in Romania decides whether a visa is to be issued or not, what type of visa to be issued, the visa's period of validity, duration of stay and number of entries according to China's laws and regulations. The Embassy in Romania retains the right to require the applicant to provide additional supporting documents or to have an interview with the applicant at the Embassy in Romania.
