Notice on Further Expansion of Period and Scope of Fingerprint Collection Exemption

To further facilitate Chinese visa applications, from now on till December 31, 2026, fingerprint collection is exempted for all short-term visa applicants (duration of each stay no more than 180 days) at the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait. Fingerprint collection will still be required, in accordance with relevant regulations, for applicants of D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z visas, which are required to apply for residence permits after the entry into China.
