1. Do I have to come to the visa center for submission in person?

According to the requirement of the Chinese Embassy, if you are exempt from fingerprint collection, you can entrust someone to submit your visa application at the Visa Center. Otherwise you may need to come to the Visa Center in person to submit your application and your fingerprints may be collected. If you want to apply through a travel agency or someone else, the agency/entrusted person will be responsible to confirm with you about the submission and fingerprint collection.

The Visa Application Center accepts visa applications from citizens of the Philippines or citizens of other countries legally residing in the Philippines. If you are not in the Philippines when submitting, we cannot accept your application. Please submit to the visa Center located in the country of your current residency, or submit to us after you come back to the Philippines.

The consular officers may also request an interview with some applicants or require additional documents.

2. How far in advance should I submit my application?

You should make your application well in advance of the planned travel date. You are advised to apply ONE month in advance but no earlier than THREE months.

Please click here for the processing time of this Visa Center. However, you should be aware that actual processing time may be longer than that posted on the web site in certain circumstances.

3. Do I have to make an appointment to apply for a visa?

Visa applicants can directly visit the Visa Center without appointment with the completed online application form and related supporting documents for visa processing.

Friendly Reminder: Due to a high volume of visa applications, we kindly advise applicants to arrange their application times reasonably, thus preventing unnecessary inconvenience.

Please click here for the office hours and address.

4. What should I do after arriving at the Center?

On the day of your visit to the Center, you will:

(1) Show your application form, passport and other documents and a queue number for submitting will be issued to you.

(2) Submit your application at the corresponding counter after your number is called (The visa center may capture your fingerprints right then; if you need to have an interview according to the requirements of Chinese Embassy, the visa center will check with you about the interview time and address).

(3)  After the application documents  being received, the counter will issue a  pick-up form and assign number for payment. Applicant will pay the fee the same day to process their application.

(4) Please carefully check all the information on the pick-up form,  which has your application information and the expected date of collection. If you have any questions, please ask the visa center staff in time. Always carefully retain the pick-up form as it must be shown when collecting your passport.

 5. Can I track the status of my application?

The Chinese Visa Application Service Center provides a 24-hour online facility to track the status of your application. You can click "My Account" to enter track your application status page and bookmark it. Or you can easily find the tracking page from your account on the homepage of the Visa Center’s web site.

6. Do I pay when submitting my application?

Yes, you must make the payment of visa fee and service fee right after your application is accepted. If the visa application is declined or refused, or the visa issued is not the category applied, the service fee will NOT be returned.

Please note that visa fees and service fees may vary across different visa categories and service options. Click here for the Schedule of Fees and methods of payment.

According to the bilateral agreements signed between China and some countries, the visa fee of some countries may be different from the amount listed in the fee schedule. Final payment is subject to the actual amount to be paid.

7. Can I cancel my application after submitting it?

The application process involves sophisticated procedures so that the Visa Center normally won’t accept to pull a single application out of the ongoing process. If you do insist to withdraw your application, all the fees including the visa fee and service fee will not be refunded.
