To further facilitate visa applications, fingerprint collection is now exempted for all short-term visa applicants (staying no more than 180 days in China) from the day of this notice until December 31, 2026. 

According to relevant regulations, fingerprint collection is still required for applicants of D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z visas, who should apply for residence permits after entry into China.
