To further facilitate visa applicants, effective immediately until December 31, 2026, all short-term visa applicants applying for a stay of up to 180 days are exempt from fingerprint collection at Chinese diplomatic and consular missions in Mexico.

Fingerprint collection will still be conducted as required for visa applicants applying for categories such as D, J1, Q1, S1, X1, and Z, who are required to obtain residence permits after entering the country.
