To further facilitate visa applicants, from now until December 31, 2026, Chinese visa authorities abroad will exempt all applicants for short-term visas with a stay of 180 days or less from fingerprinting. For visa applicants with the letters D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z who need to apply for residence permits after entering the country, fingerprints will still be collected as required.
