Notice on Expanding the Scope and Extending the Period of Fingerprint Exemption for Visa Application

To further facilitate visa applicants, from the date of issuance to December 31, 2026, Chinese visa authorities abroad will waive fingerprint collection for all applicants applying for short-term visas with a duration of stay of 180 days or less.

Visa applicants for categories D, J1, Q1, S1, X1, and Z, who are required to apply for residence permits after entry, shall still have their fingerprints collected in accordance with relevant regulations.
